About Saray

Saray founder, Mitchell Abdul Karim Crites, is a respected scholar and author whose research and travels throughout India and the Arab world have made him a leading force for the renaissance of traditional Islamic and Indian craftsmanship at the highest levels. Saray commissions vary from landscape garden design to drinking glasses hand carved from semi-precious stones.

April 2008 latest: This site has been updated to include publications to which Mitch has contributed. This includes 'Around the World in Eighty Gardens', the BBC2 series which featured an interview with Mitch on the Jal Mahal or Water Palace in Jaipur where the Saray team designed the Jasmine Garden.
